TRUSTS
Ensuring the Care of
Your Beloved Companion
For many of us, our pets are more than just
animals—they are family. At Silvers Law, P.A., we
understand that planning for the future of your
pets is as important as any other aspect of your
estate plan. We will help you navigate the legal
process of creating a pet trust, ensuring that
your beloved companion will receive the care they
deserve, regardless of what the future holds.

Today, PRC is a warm, welcoming destination — not the
cold, concrete shelter people remember. Our staff reflect the
diversity and heart of Hillsborough County. We value personal
relationships with our stakeholders, and decisions are made
with full participation and among cross-functional shelter team
members. We strive to be the best resource for the community
and its pets.
The PRC’s evolution from “the pound” to a dynamic,
people-centered service proves what’s possible when a com-
munity believes in compassion. The best way to fully under-
stand what’s changed is to see it for yourself. We invite readers
of The New Barker to visit us — schedule a behind-the-scenes
tour and meet the staff who make lives better every day.
Pawdition Program at Pet Resource Center
Dogs and cats may be taken home for a trial run – an audi-
tion of sorts – to see if everyone fits. A Pawditioning pet stays
with the potential adopter for about a week or two while
auditioning for their forever home. This also allows the pet to
settle in around a home environment, giving them a break
from shelter life. Pets may be brough back to PRC for any
reason during the pawdition period. It’s a judgement-free
zone. The pawdition process is simple and doesn't take much
time. It begins by looking at the Pet Resource Center's Online
Kennel. Then, call 813.301.7387 or email
PetInfo@HCFLGov.net to set up a meet-and-greet.
Scott Trebatoski is the Department Director for Hillsborough
County Pet Resource Center. His career in animal control and
public sheltering spans almost 30 years.
